WHERE WE BELONG

Even though we are not physically there, yet everything we taught will be always be there.
Follow Father Footstep Foundation encourages those who have received training and education from our long-term programs to share their knowledge and ability with others in development and operation through “Corporate Social Responsibility Projects (CSR)”. Together, we all can solve problems from small issues in education starting with small schools involving the efforts that do not exceed the capacity of the project operator.
“… Understanding the circumstances of who we will help is of utmost importance. Giving what one deserves as one needs appropriately is the most effective help. Another essential aspect of helping principle that we abide by is that we help so that one will continue to help one’s self…”
Translated from an excerpt from the Royal speech from the book “Principles of Work”, Office of The Royal Development Projects Board (year?)
Creating people to create jobs
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects that are operated by the active participants of the programs under Follow Father Footstep Foundation collaborate to help solve the problems of small schools in the remote areas or those children whose parents are in poverty by supporting and pushing different initiatives to achieve solid foundation and sustainability.
Because of one small school closing, there will be at least one child who is left out from receiving education, therefore “small schools = educational opportunities” for children in the remote areas and/or poverty.

Inherit: The Royal speech on solving children’s nutrition problems.
Create: Prototypes from the Royal projects on “Agriculture for Lunch”.
#Kids are what they eat, focuses on building the stability of food supplies to small schools because many students do not get to eat their breakfast before going to school. Self sufficiency in the preliminary is therefore very important. If there is any leftover lunch, exchanging food among different schools in the local communities is critical to improve diversity in food selection and nutrition.
Operation Outputs during year 2021
The first model school experimented an approach of separating the cook’s wages from the total cost of meals which was subsidised by the government and it was found to improve the quality of the children’s lunches.
The next step: To develop a prototype model of “Plant, Cook, Transform” to support the creation of a food network between schools and communities along with building schools to expand opportunities for diversity of food in the schools.

Year 2022: Fit like a Glove
Inherit: The Royal Speech on solving problem of scarcity.
#Fit like a Glove focuses on reducing inequality. One of the reasons behind the difficulty in attending the schools which the children in the remote areas or children whose parents are poor and needy have to face is that they are teased by their friends or adults for their unfitted or worn out uniforms. Consequently, this creates an inferiority complex for the children. Despite that fact that these children are allowed to wear their home clothes to school, but the conditions of their clothing are way out of the desirable condition.
Operation Outputs the year 2022
The first model school experimented with lending the uniforms. It was found that such approach enabled the children to be happy to attend their schools. At the same time, the parents also feel motivated despite their deteriorating income.
The next step: To develop prototype model, “Saving Cooperatives”, which encourages schools to be the centers of community production cooperatives. This allows the students to learn about online businesses in order to build skills and professional knowledge. Cooperatives use their income for the welfare student uniforms to be sustainable.

royal speech
“… Whoever has any task duty, should hurry to accomplish it with knowledge, ability along with sincerity, kindness, and good wishes to one other. Individuals’ achievements should compliment and support one another for the stability of the nation…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech bestowed upon the people on the occasion of the New Year 1995.
“… The development of the country needs to be done step by step. The foundation must be established beginning with sufficiency that is enough to consume for most of the people by using methods and equipment which are economical but theoretically correct so that the foundation is stable, sufficient and practical. Consequently, this will gradually promote prosperity and a higher economic status in the next step…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech at the graduation ceremony of the Khon Kaen University, 20 December 1973.
“… We are not a rich country, we have enough to live, but not a very advanced country either. We do not want to be an overly advanced country because if we are a very progressive country, many will fall back. Those countries that are advanced industrialized countries, will only regress backwards horribly. If we have a so-called poor people style management, without being too attached to the literature, rather we do things in unity is considered compassion and this is long lasting…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech on the occasion of the Royal Birthday at the Dusit Dalai Hall, December 4, 1991.
“… To develop everything to prosper, it must be built and strengthened from the existing foundation. If the fundamentals are not good or full of flaws then it is difficult to grow further. This should be clearly understood that in addition to focusing on creating prosperity, it is equally essential to try to maintain the foundation to be stable and not deteriorate at the same time…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech at the Graduation ceremony at Chulalongkorn University, 10 July 1980.
“… The poor people, the kind that is not too attached to literature, doing everything in unity with compassion, will sustain. But people who strictly follow theories, when the textbook is closed and they do not know what to do and they will end up starting all over again by returning to the first page. If we are flexible in applying our theoretical knowledge, then it will be good to preach them that loss is our gain. Economists would argue against it but we could clarify that if we do something that we lose early on, but in the end, we can get it back indirectly. This should be the government work principle when dealing with the government’s money, in other words, people’s money.
If you want the people to live well, the state must invest and build multi millions and billions baht projects for the people. The people will get the benefits, they will live well and they will earn profits. When the people have good income, the government can collect the taxes and this can be used in upcoming projects that will advance the nation. If you love, are united, and learn to sacrifice, the nation will progress and the people will be well and happy which is beyond the value of money…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech on the occasion of the Royal Birthday at the Dusit Dalai Hall, December 4, 1991.
“… It is common to say that we must make personal sacrifices for the public, but this sounds boring and might even be annoying. Also, whoever comes to say that one must think about the common good, and question what one get in return. Please think of those who give to the common good, do not only give to the public but also giving yourselves the opportunities to enjoy such benefits and the chances to be a part of the community…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech bestowed upon the students of Khon Kaen University, Monday 20 December 1971.
“… Our country has been in solidarity, peace and happiness for a long time, because we have adhered to national duties for the common benefits. Every Thai national should, therefore, be aware of this point, then intentionally perform their duties in accordance with their status in order to achieve stability and safety in the common interests of the nation of Thailand…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech at the public appearance during Royal ceremony of His Majesty the King’s Birthday at the Royal Throne Hall, the Royal Pracha Samakhom Hall, Klai Kangwon Palace, Thursday 5 December 2013.
“… A child is the one who inherits everything from an adult. Every child deserves and is entitled to receive proper upbringing to have strong faith in good deeds, good conduct, honesty and wisdom within reasons…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech bestowed on the occasion of the International Children’s Day, January 1, 1979.
“… Those who are capable of working for the nation, need to have determination in their work along with persistence, honesty and be able to sacrifice. And most importantly, they must have a clear understanding and truthful attitude towards reasons…”
Translated from one part of the Royal speech at the Graduation ceremony of the Chiangmai University, January 24, 1977.
